Life Groups

Life Groups are a great way to strengthen your faith, build Christian relationships with your friends, and learn how God’s Word applies to your life. Gather with a small group of people each week for encouragement, friendship, and Scripture. All are welcome!

Contact Phil Anderson if you want to start your own group.

A Christian’s Take

A 7 week life group focused on building a Christian’s reaction to daily news and life events. Specifically we will focus on tough issues that may or may not hit close to home for Christians like abortion, gay marriage, terrorism, and many more. The format is completely discussion based with input encouraged by all. We hope this life group will help us as Christians better understand how Jesus wants us to react and how we can learn from our fellow Christians what the best way to react in life’s toughest situations.

If you have any topics you would like to discuss this semester, please let Justin know! All are welcome!

Women’s Small Group: James, Living Your Forgiveness (Section 1)

While we often hear “live your faith,” why might we frame our study as “living your forgiveness?” How are perspective, prayer, relationships, trials transformed by the gift of forgiveness from the one who gave us life “through the word of truth?” James shares God’s wisdom and will for Christian living and insights into actions, encouraging us to genuine faith in Christ, to entrusting every care to God, confident that He, the giver of every good and perfect gift, will answer our prayers for wisdom and answer our requests in the way that best serves our eternal good.

Young Professionals Group

At transition points in life—like going from college to grad school or beginning a career—we’re left to make decisions about how we use our time and abilities. These decisions really amount to what we dedicate ourselves to. A group of Israelites 2,500 years ago transitioned from living in Babylon to rebuilding the ruins of Jerusalem. In the process they faced decisions about how to rededicate their lives to God. Throughout their story God’s hand can be seen guiding the events of history. With this story, recorded by the priest Ezra, we’ll discuss what we can learn about dedicating our lives to God in the transitions we’re facing.
