Dear Chapel family,
We are excited to have the students back on campus for the second semester and enjoy having activity in the building. We are thankful for the safety God provided for the Chapel throughout the first semester.
This week, two of the men serving as housefellows tested positive for COVID-19. They have both chosen to return to their homes to quarantine. We have traced their contact with others. We have quarantined the rest of the housefellows in that wing of the building.
The current housefellows were all tested for COVID on Wednesday. They will remain quarantined into next week and asked to be tested again next week before any decisions are made to lift their quarantine.
We value the safety of all our students and members. We will continue to monitor and determine additional steps, including closing the building for studying, should there be more positive tests.
Cleaning and disinfecting will take place in the building some time before the services on Sunday, so the building will be made as safe as we can make it. Still, we wanted you to know that cases of COVID have been in the building and let you decide your comfort level with coming to worship. We will prerecord the service tomorrow, and God-willing, live stream the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. Both will be available here on the Chapel website.
We will continue to keep you informed with any changes.
Thank you for your prayers and support. We trust our God who is “our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
God bless you and keep you!
Peace in Jesus,
