Join us Sunday mornings during the academic school year from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Classes are led by Pastor Trapp in the Fellowship Hall.
Jill McKinley was a Jewish-raised atheist who became a baptized member of the Chapel family in 1987—25 years ago. Jill will tell the story of how she became a WELS Christian and discuss her experiences with evangelism both before and after her conversion. She will also share her unique perspective on the keys to reaching people with a personalized message of Christ’s love and salvation.
Pontius Pilate asked this powerful question more than 2000 years ago at Jesus’ trial. Today in colleges and universities, in virtually every scholarly discipline, the same question is asked: “How do we know/discover what is true and false in paleontology, physics, political science, etc.?” For the last 150 years questions about learning/discerning the truth have been replaced by a declaration that there is no such thing as truth. In this three-part series Dr. Rolf Wegenke (Ph.D., University of Chicago) will explore what the Bible says about the question and the declaration.
Speaker Dr. Rolf Wegenke (Ph.D., University of Chicago) will explore what the Bible and the world say about truth.
Note: Don’t worry if you miss a session in this 3-part Bible Class series; each presentation stands on its own, and a brief review of the previous presentation will bring you up to speed.

Having led 18 tours to the Holy Land, Pastor emeritus Eugene Kock will lead us on a spiritual trip to Capernaum where Jesus based his three-year ministry (Matthew 4:13). Jesus taught in the local synagogue and performed a tremendous amount of miracles here including: healing Peter’s mother in law, a man with an unclean spirit, a centurion’s servant, and a paralytic (who came through a roof!). Capernaum was also the home town of apostles: Peter, Andrew, James, John, and tax collector Matthew. Walk with us on this spiritual journey.
Jerusalem means “city of peace.” Ironically, violence and injustice have dominated the city. No greater injustice took place than that on a hill outside the walls of Jerusalem where Jesus paid for the sins of the world. Take a spiritual and visual journey with Pastor emeritus Eugene Kock, who has led 18 tours to this city where Jesus taught, healed, forgave, admonished, died, rose and ascended. Bring your friends.
On this last spiritual journey with Pastor em. Kock travel to where the apostle Peter shared Jesus with the first Gentile convert to Christianity (Cornelius) and where King Herod Agrippa I was killed by an angel. In this beautiful harbor city, Paul did jail time for Jesus, and Pontius Pilate hung out (see a stone tablet with his name on it!). Admire a seven mile Roman aqueduct, which supplied water to Caesarea from Mt. Carmel (where Elijah took on the prophets of Baal) and sit in an early Christian era amphitheater.
Chapel’s Worship Coordinator, Dr. Matthew Schlomer, will lead an exploration of the Bible’s view on worship. The two-Sunday study will culminate with participants actively planning the Chapel’s 2012 summer worship series, entitled Games People Play.
Celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with friends in Christ over a delicious Easter fellowship meal.

What is marriage and will it be around in the future? These used to be easy questions to answer. But the culture we live in is bent on changing the definition of marriage and some are calling it an irrelevant institution. As a Staff Minister before he came to the Chapel, Todd Wendorf has conducted various presentations on marriage and what God has to say about it in Scripture. Join this important discussion.
“It is good for a man not to marry. But…” the apostle Paul begins in 1 Corinthians 7. With more and more single people in our churches, what does Paul mean? What does the Bible say about marriage or being single? Join us to discuss these vital questions. Todd Wendorf will lead our study.
Questions and answers will be given by Chapel singles and married couples at this gathering. Todd Wendorf will facilitate this panel discussion. Bring your friends.
Join us for a Bible Class led by Guest Speaker Pastor Don Schultz.
