Television’s Stephen Colbert says, “And though I am a committed Christian, I believe everyone has the right to their own religion—be you a Hindu, Jewish, or Muslim, I believe there are infinite paths to accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.” Are we to believe that the Hindu road (which say Jesus is one of millions of gods) and the Jewish road (which says Jesus is not God) and the Muslim road (which says Jesus is a lower prophet than Mohammed) all lead to the same Jesus? Mark Driscoll says in Vintage Jesus, “The exclusivity, superiority, and singularity of Jesus are precisely the teaching of Scripture.” The men of Samaria said, “This man [Jesus] really is the Savior of the world” (John 4).
