“Life is short.” “Where did the time go?” Moses puts it this way in Psalm 90: “The length of our days…quickly pass and we fly away.” The good news is we know where we are going when we fly away. Because of Jesus we can sing Albert Brumley’s 1929 gospel song: “Some bright morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away. To home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away…I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away. When I die, hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away.”
