The Chapel is currently working with the Madison Police Department to plan a student safety initiative for students throughout the campus community. Two officers will be on hand to discuss tips to help keep you and your property safe, things to look for and remember when witnessing a crime, when to call 911, current crime trends in the campus area, and more. They will also be answering crime and safety related questions you may have. All students are welcome, and snacks will be served.
The Chapel choir is fun and informal with a wide variety of great music, ranging from Bach to Rutter and gospel to African traditions and beyond. We sing once or twice a month on Sundays, and for some Wednesday Vespers worship services. It’s a nice time for fellowship and making friends. Please come and join in the fun on December 10 before Advent Candlelight worship. We’ll meet at the Chapel at 8:00 p.m. and go out on State Street to sing your favorites—then we’ll come inside and warm up to hot cocoa! Bundle up and come on out!
The Chapel Drama team presents “The Voices of Advent”—four robed characters share brief point-of-view reflections on the impending birth of the Savior.
Advent Candlelight Vespers (Dec 3, 10 & 17) is a beautiful Chapel tradition you won’t want to miss. The lights are turned off and the candles are lit. It’s a great opportunity to bring your friends. Join us for these come-as-you-are, informal half hour worship services.
