One of UW-Madison’s emphases is for students to live their lives “sifting and winnowing” for truth. While it’s true that in the world of science one needs to keep experimenting to make this world a better place in which to live, there is also an atmosphere that says there’s no true truth. No absolute truth. No true wisdom. The Scriptures disagree. They say there is absolute truth, which begins by knowing God and his Word to us—the beginning of true wisdom. And the best way to know God is to know Jesus, who is the Word.
